In 2010, Randy Rives requested the Texas State Board of Education present and vote on a resolution to prevent Pro-Islamic/Anti-Christian bias
in textbooks. The Texas SBOE did introduce this initiative and the initiative passed in September, 2010. This issue received world wide media
coverage.
